Dieufel Lamisere:Artistic Director
|
Petion-Ville-Haiti is where Mr. Lamisere was
born and raised. Since a teenager Lamisere
was obsessed by the art of dance. His career
started at the age of 10 with the most well
known dancing school in Haiti, RMT-Regine
Mont-Rozier Trouillot Dance School.
Trained in
ballet, jazz and modern dance by Nathalie
Trouillot, he also studied with Odette Wiener,
founder and artistic director of the Ballet
Bacoulou, Fenol Jean-Jacques and also with
ARTCHO Dance-Repertoire.
He performed with
RMT and La Compagnie des Jeunes De la
Danse include: Bal de Graduation, Don
Quixote, the Little Mermaid. Performed and tour
with the ballet Bacoulou (Bahamas, Martinique,
France and Spain) and was a guest dancer
with BFH-Ballet Folklorique d’Haiti for the
production of Tezen.
Lamisere performed with
Eddy Toussaint who was the founder and
artistic director of GBH (Grand Ballet of Haiti)
and Les Grand Ballets of Canada.
Mr. Lamisere
was the founder and artistic director of EDCOM-
Ethnic Dance Company and artistic director of
the Capoise Dance Company in North Haiti. He
worked with the MICIVIH as a dancer on A Quoi
Sert la Liberte for human rights and performed
in the 25th assembly OEA in Haiti.
Currently he
perfects his ballet technique at various dance
schools in NY and his African Dance. After 6
long years of touring the world Mr. Lamisere
decided to move to New York City and pursuit
his dream of having his own Dance Company-
HaitiDansCo.

HDC is formed by a group of talented artists who come from diverse cultural and
dance backgrounds. All of them work together to learn and share
the beautiful Afro-Haitian culture. Offering a strong mix of
classical, modern and jazz dance styles, the group believes in
the joy and excitement of all types of dance. They create their
own language with each project and, in doing so, are willing to
take the next step forward with each breath they take.
